Mindful movement.

embodied presence.

creative expression.

The name Kenova Somatics was inspired by the colloquial Croatian expression: “Ðe si, Kenova?” Loosely translated, it means something like “What’s new?” or “How are you?” More than a question, it’s an invitation—a brief moment of connection and a gentle way of checking in without pressure. In a world that often asks us to move faster, do more, and push through, Kenova Somatics captures the spirit of this easygoing Eastern European ritual and offers an intentional pause amidst life’s noise. A space to meet and reconnect with ourselves, our bodies, and one another - just as we are.

Rooted in heritage. Inspired by connection. Held in presence.

I am a certified Psychosomatic and Reiki Practitioner, and Yoga Instructor with 14 years of experience in mindful movement and embodiment. Passionate about guiding others on their journey inward, I help clients and students rediscover safety, awareness, and connection to themselves by blending somatic practices, such as breathwork, body scans, and meditation, with intuitive movement. My gentle, trauma-informed approach supports nervous system regulation and healing, inviting clients to slow down, release tension, and build resilience. I create space for a greater sense of presence, ease, and a more compassionate relationship with the body and its sensations and signals through deep attunement to each person’s unique journey.

What to expect

Gently explore the language of your body.

I guide you inward, into the physical sensations of your body—to help you slow down and create space for what’s ready to be felt. Together, we integrate physical sensations with emotional insights to release stored tension, process emotions, and understand your body’s responses to stress or trauma. This work invites you into a more present, compassionate, and connected relationship with yourself.

The power of somatic practice

Kenova Somatics creates space to reconnect with your body, where your live story lives, emotions speak through sensation, and deeper awareness begins.

Somatic practice invites you to slow down and return to the felt experience of being alive. Through guided breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement, we explore the body's wisdom as a pathway to presence, safety, and belonging.

When you feel more at home in your physical body, you can move through life with greater clarity, compassion, and connection with yourself, others, and the world around you.

  • "I didn't know what to expect, but she is a gift. I feel so connected to her now. I got just as much out of her session as I did in the medicine ceremony; just uncovered a different layer. 🫶 Grateful for her knowledge and the space she holds."

—Retreat Participant | Somatic Practice, 2025

  • "Loved it! I actually processed a lot in yoga. I cried a couple of times out of nowhere. I feel it is essential to support the body with movement over the weekend, to allow for processing and to keep energy moving."

    —Retreat Participant | Yoga, 2025

  • "Gently powerful. "

  • "Kristin's yoga teaching style really works for me. She's grounded and playful, doesn't seem to take any of it too seriously, and keeps pointing me back to my body."

    —Retreat Participant | Yoga, 2025

  • "I was surprised how easily my body responded to opening and releasing...this was a great entry and opening before the evening ceremony."
